Benny Romero is a current senior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience with a certificate in Latina/o Studies in the Global South. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, he proudly identifies as Chicano or Tejano and as a first-generation college student. He is also deeply involved in Mi Gente, Latino Student Recruitment Weekend, and the Center for Multicultural Affairs. He enjoys exercising, drawing, watching tik toks, and learning more about how to embrace health and wellness. He intends to work in the non-profit sector and/or with the Latinx community either in Austin or in Durham immediately after graduation.
